21 Balançoires is an interactive public installation that comes in the form of an enormous collective instrument made up of 21 colour-coded interactive musical swings, by Canadian design collective Daily Tous Les Jours. Every motion of each swing triggers a different note, pre-recorded sounds from a xylophone, piano & other instruments. However, when the swings are swung in unison with careful cooperation, more complex melodies & harmonies arise, eventually composing a musical piece.
Cool, huh? Something I’d like to have in the backyard x playground of my future dream home! (Which means it should prolly be feline-friendly as well, heh.)
